The Variety Jet Trek is an adrenalin packed adventure on personal watercraft which sees participants travel via some amazing coastline and scenery. Event entrants and road crews will experience superb food and fun-filled theme nights as they navigate an outstanding course south, travelling from Yeppoon through to Brisbane before finishing with a ‘party in style’ at Sanctuary Cove. The 2015 event will be our 17th Jet Trek and will depart Yeppoon on Monday 4th May, travelling through some of Queensland’s most spectacular marine areas before arriving into Sanctuary Cove on Saturday 9th May.

Throughout its seventeen years, the Variety Jet Trek has grown considerably (particularly over the last five years which has seen a significant increase in participant numbers) and has raised over $750,000 for Queensland kids who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs. Our Trekkers take particular pride in knowing they have helped improve the quality of life for many kids and love nothing more than having them join us at breakfast or lunch and being able to take them out on the water to experience the ‘thrill’ of a jet ski.

To be part of the Jet Trek, entrants must fill out the appropriate paperwork including the Entry and Crew Forms, pay a registration fee of $165, commit to raise a minimum of $2,500 donation and pay a provision levy for each person attending the event, including both on-water riders and road crew. This levy covers most meals, merchandise and a DVD of the event. The provision levy fee is announced closer to the Jet Trek departure date once components of the adventure are finalised.

Once registered, participants will receive regular newsletters highlighting important information regarding the event, a Fundraising Kit, Blue Card Application Form, an official Variety fundraising card and support from the Variety Queensland office.

Attached to this post you will find all the elements of the 2015 ‘Keppel to the Capital’ Yamaha Variety Jet Trek information pack which includes: Application and Crew Forms and an Event Guide detailing the relevant safety equipment and event regulations. You’ll also find a full event itinerary which details each of our overnight locations. Further information on accommodation options, theme nights and other event activities will be made available (through our event newsletters) over the coming months.

Saturday 28th Feb '15 - Officials Training Day. Bribie Island VMR headquarters.

Officials flew in from all over the country on Friday to take part in the training session in preparation for the big ride.

These guys work really hard and also have a wonderful sense of fun along the way.

The training session was advanced and informative to watch. They are all experts in their field.

PWC legend Milton Brunton was on hand to do the advanced water safety training.

The whole day was a huge success and a great indicator of the fun that's in store for the Trekkers this year.

awsm An excellent day and great to meet the people behind the Jet Trek. Working so hard to make this a success with a majority having been involved for a number of years now! Get on board and support a rider by donating as funds raised go to supporting children in need.
