Advice Required Lennox Heads
« on: March 01, 2016, 01:07:40 PM »
Howdy,

Contemplating a trip to Lennox Heads for a few days with friends and wondering about restrictions on Jet Ski activity in the area?
I read about the Cape Byron Marine Park and the no go zone for jet skis, but was wondering how that affects usage in Lennox heads - anyone able to clarify?
Thanks

I thinkj you've got it sussed Greeny.

Heres a little info from NSWM that may help.

http://www.mpa.nsw.gov.au/pdf/CBMP-user%20guide.pdf

As a rule of thumb I usually check every sign at Boat Ramps these days as they're usually really reliable and have all the zones on them.

The other thing I do is ask any locals around the place what the "custom" is for the area. Sometimes they even let you know where is the best places to go too :)

Have an awesome time :) We're planning to go to Ballina soon to as its such a spectacular place to visit and ride. If the weathers ok some of us are riding back to the Goldie  chr

Thanks Mandy,

Thanks for the follow up and tip on the boat ramp signs...

The maps i have seen seem to encompass Lennox Heads in the park so thought I would ask the question...long way to drag a ski to have it sit idle.

Such a great strip of coastline :-)
