Hi everyone, obviously not everyone can wear a wetsuit. I found this out the hard way. Went to the surf shops in Torquay Vic on the weekend with no success. (I can't get into them) Changing my mind to purchase Neoprene pants and separate jacket but hard to find in Melbourne. Was recommended to Dejavu in Essendon for gear to ride Jet ski's. New stock End September. Can't even find shorts and jackets in Vic. Failing that I have to source from the Wetsuit warehouse Qld. Any ideas from anyone would be a great help. ts

Hey @Kevin I think you're better off with the 2 piece option.

Wetsuits are terrible on a Ski. They need heaps of room in them for when you sit down, your arms are always froward to they get rubbed skinless and its impossible to relieve yourself zl   Although @Nigel used to have a horizontal zip in his in the early days.

Nowdays we all wear the pants from Wetsuit warehouse. I have pants in 3mm and 5mm they're awesome. We can thank the Canoeists for them. They only came about around 5 years ago.

On top I wear a rasshie and my PFD and a Tour Coat on top. My coat is from Seadoo but Quakeysense also have them so see Rye Jet Ski.
If its really cold I carry my quakeysense Tour Coat and wear 2 of them although you cant do that long in Qld.

Get a gath helmet. they keep your head really warm. I wear a beenie under mine.

Have FUN!

Hi, I just have to get in on this conversation. I would like to talk about my experience with wetsuits.
I went to a shop one Thursday night to try and find a suitable wetsuit, I grabbed the largest one in the store (let's face it I'm not a trim as I once was) and made my way into the change room. I attempted to get into the wetsuit with absolutely no chance of getting  it done up so I went to take it off. Well that's where the fun started, I had injured my shoulder sometime before which restricted the amount of movement I could get from it. I attempted to remove my arms from the wetsuit but could not get it off my shoulders. As hard as I struggled I could not get this wetsuit off. I had no idea what I was going to do. I couldn't walk out and get help, wasn't a good look. Just then an announcement came over the store PA. "Dear customers the store is closing in 5 minutes please make your way to the counter".  You could only imagine what was going through my head at that moment. Stuck in a change room with a wetsuit on that I can't get off and the store is closing in 5 minutes. Through much pain and moves that would make Michael Jackson proud I finally got out of it. At that moment I decided wetsuits were not a good idea for people like me...Trust me...pants and rashie are a far better option. cl

Funny as Norm! yeah pants and rashie for me.

This funny as story reminded me that if anyone has trouble pulling their wetsuit on, JetSki.XXX has a product called Extreme Fresh

It doesn't just clean smelly wetsuits and stuff but it has Aloe Vera in it so you can literally squirt some into your wetsuit and it will slide straight on. And your skin will be soooooo soft too  cl

Kevin I bought long thermo shield pants on line from Melbourne. They are adrenalin brand. I'm not sure how warm they would be in vic but they were fantastic in our winter in QLD.

Hi Cath, I just got back from Qld and visited Wetsuit warehouse. Bought many things to add to my collection. Made the luggage heavier but all good. Funny thing people say I would be medium in most items but actually 2XL or 3XL so looks are deceiving. Have fun on the water. wv
