Jet Ski Social Ride Hull protector......
« on: January 05, 2017, 05:58:56 PM »
Hi All

Does anyone know if you can get something that protects your hull from light scratches cause bye lifting the ski onto the sand... I know that you can get a KeelGuard for boats BUT not recommended for skis..

You would think that someone would have made something by now to protect your Hull on your Ski...

Thanks Whitegeezer

Hi Mate,

Hope your doing heaps of riding ;)

There are many treatments around. Lifeguards have been using them for years as they ride up on the sand all the time.

I'm not a big fan unless you really need it eg, lots of damage is occurring or you're on a Yamaha with the very weak hulls.

A few scratches (while not attractive) is nothing to worry about. On my race Ski I even sand the bottom for handling reasons.

You could get any Jet Ski repairer to apply a protective coating or just wait off until it bocomes to much to live with and then have it repaired.

If your pulling up somewhere really rocky try anchoring off shore a bit or taking some old carpet to pull the Ski up on.
