Yes all is well Nikko. Craigs Doo did a carbone seal just off slipping sands and after some daredevil riding with no bungs and a firehose bilge Savana pulled it out at Russel island. Craigs going for a drive tomorrow to bring it home  cr0k
I thought Seadoo's have a self drainer when moving forward?

They sure do guys. Dont worry this was an unfortunate breakdown and extremely uncommon with good maintenance.

The problem had been detected and was set to be done at service which is this week.

It unexpectedly did a rapid turn for the worse  cr0k  but all's well that ends well  lovf

Wow didn't realise seadoo's were so thirsty. I have an enduro race kit on my svho and I can make coochie up and back from paradise point with still 1/3 of tank.

Hi Pauly, I've got a rxt 300 and was concerned I wouldn't have enough fuel for the trip. You mentioned the Seadoos fuel consumption. How much did they use on the trip from Paradise Point to Peel and back?

Sent from my iPhone using The Jet Ski Club mobile app

As a comparison i used 56 litres but i did do a 5k stretch with the trigger fully pinned which sucks fuel down at about 75 litres and hour.
I am right 98% of the time and I dont care about the other 3%

With nobody to race against we had a leisurely Eco mode run all the way home. It was oddly serene lol! Hope Craig gets his ski back ok!

Hey Nikko,

Thanks for your concern today. Was a nice of you to offer your help. Cheers  wh   ml1

awsm to hear he got his ski out ok. Thanks for the great day.  I got back to the ramp with the low fuel warning making a racket, think I may have burnt a bit extra chasing Mandy down from Slipping Sands.
Cheers
Azza

Hi Aaron,
A huge thank you to you and everyone else who stopped to aid assistance. Truly remarkable how willing the group was. I'm sure without all your help, it would have been a tough end of day.

Thank you,
I am grateful to each and everyone who helped out yesterday.
The ski is in the shop and is getting a service and new carbone seal. Doesn't appear to be any serious damage.
The seal was going to be replaced at this service anyway as it was noted when I bought the ski. Would have been great if it lasted an extra 20 minutes but them the breaks.
Great day out regardless.
Thank you

I have a standard Seadoo gti 130. 2 of us on board plus the weight of my rack on the back with both a steel anchor and an extra can of fuel.
I returned with 1/3 tank (didn't use the extra 10ltr can). My speed was way down though. Around 18 knots (35k) in the bay were it got choppy and 25 to 30 knots (50 to 60k) on the flat.
I also used ECO most of the time switched to sport when needed.
I recon i had enough fuel to return to Peel in smooth seas!

Hi Mandy,

Thanks for your great idea "buddy up".
We got left on the beach at Peel with our buddy's having a beer.
We didn't realise you had all left. I think we confused other jetski's for you guys and thought you were still sitting in the water.
Lucky i new the way back as my buddy's had no idea (nor a gps)
I think next time tho i will try buddy up with people who know other jetski club members if possible (new members with long term members).
No offence to our buddy's we had a great time. Stopped at tipplers for another beer.
