Friday 11/09/2015 Tocumwal NSW To Picnic Point NSW
« on: September 06, 2015, 11:38:10 PM »
Well thanks to input from Mark Holmes and Shane Nixon we have come up with a new ride.

This Friday 11/09/2015 we will ride from Tocumwal NSW down river on the Murray river to Picnic Point (1,790 km from mouth) NSW Have lunch at Picnic point and then return upstream to Tocumwal (1,888 km from Mouth) 98 km each way.

I will leave SE suburbs 5:30 am meet Shane on the Shepparton ring road 8:00 am arrive Tocumwal 9:00 am depart Tocumwal Boat Ramp 9:30 AM

We will carry 2*22L jerrys of extra fuel on the skis and Premium fuel is available from Picnic Point.

The forecast is for 21 degrees yippee shorts and rashie weather. I recommend riding gloves, PFD, wetsuit boots, wetsuit, tour coat, Beanie, sun hat, safety gear, sun screen, zinc cream lots of drinking water. Make sure you carry your licence.

Some snacks for the ride. Picnic point serves excellent fish and chips.

All waterways rules must be obeyed.

Bring your reliable ski, and an attitude of fun.

If you are coming post on here and call me on 0407 844 542

Shorter by water 98k than by road 129ks

21 degrees

Under 10 knots of breeze

Road trip from SE Melbourne UHF channel 70
