wtfsm so i think ive gone nuts. Ive just about done the run in on my GTR. Just for shits and giggles, i thought id jump back on the old GTI. I think i prefer it, bloody hell its fun. What a great hull for letting loose. Sadly i dont think we ll see full size skis like them again.  dno

Wow, really? In chop?

The GTI was always very competitive in surf racing.

I think we'll see some major changes as we go into Electric motors now.

The new RXTX changes with the ST3 hull are the first of getting ready for it with their very little resistance. You can see how the hull could become sealed from this shape.

Bugger it, I still like riding the 1993 VXR too  br

See you on the water for some FUN!

Nah not in chop, its pretty unsophisticated when it gets bumpy. just in terms of 'fun factor'. 360 degree flat spins with 2 up, and that pivot/powerslide is brilliant in the surf.

I'm with you mandy, I hope to keep the old girl running for another decade.

if the push for electric powered skis comes to our sport I'm sure initially at least, and perhaps longer term, hydrofoiling will be a necessary step in the 'transition'. ive been following this closely for a couple of years now and as the designers improve its going to feature strongly in the future, in all vessels. have a look, only a concept at this stage:  https://twitter.com/brpnews/status/618871667511660544
