Jet Ski Social Ride Advanced Rider Training - VHF Marine Radio - QLD 16th June
« on: June 05, 2018, 07:36:26 AM »

Do you carry a VHF Marine Radio for safety when riding?
Did you know formal certification is required to use your VHF Marine Radio in non emergency situations?
Interested in joining our Water Safety and Event Marshal team?

AJSA is offering a Short Range Operator Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP - VHF Marine Radio) revision workshop on 16 June as a precursor to undertaking the ~40 min examination with VMR on the following Saturday (or other alternate time by prior arrangement).

First we’ll meet at 8am-9:30am for the workshop in the North Gold Coast area, followed by a ride from the Grand Hotel boat ramp, concluding early afternoon. Full details to be provided upon receipt of your registration and payment. Expected preparation includes reading the VHF Marine Radio Handbook.

Cost is $109 for members including the examination fees, paid directly into the AJSA bank account BSB 064 471 Account Number 1051 3000 by Friday 15 June. Please include your surname in the reference text. Not a member? Simply join up first!

Hi Seb, we haven’t planned the next one yet, but do run regular training activities monthly for members. Can you please send your details to ben@ajsa.org.au and I’ll include you in our updates if you like. Ben
